Hello folks, long time no see

As I've just finsihed painting the first EPIC miniatures I've completed for 2 1/2 years, I thought I'd post them on here. Here are some Mutants for a Slaaneshi-themed Lost and the Damned army that I painted the rest of over 3 years ago now (!):




They're Orks, but I painted their skin purple so they look more like mutants than greenskins. They were painted really quickly, almost literally in one afternoon (apart from the Scorched Brown base coat for the, erm, bases). The recipe was: thinned Codex Grey, thinned Warlock Purple on the exposed skin areas (arms, hands, heads), Boltgun Metal on the guns, then a wash owth Devlan Mud (or as I like to call it, 'Instant Awesome' )

I think they fit well with the rest of the army, which includes Exodus Wars Guild Centuria as Cultists, and Daemons:


I must admit they only reason I've painted these is to finish off this small army to sell on eBay this weekend - I made th army as allies for an EPIC Chaos Marine army, but as I've got about 10,000 points worth of EPIC Chaos hoarded up I need to paint, I don't feel I need them to be honest. The army includes such delights as Traitor Tanks, Daemonettes, a scratchbuilt Chaos Altar, and a Keeper of Secrets.

At some point in the future I will be painting some more EPIC Chaos stuff, but I have a stupid load of 40k Chaos Marines I want to paint before I move on to those. But when I do, I will post them here.

Funny you should say that, because I had originally planned on making this army double as a gnenstealer cult, using the L&tD rules (counting the 'Stealers as Daemonettes...).

Alas, I got to the point I had far more EPIC miniatures and armies than I'd ever be able to paint so I had to sell the 'Stealers I had...

Sadly not, the Genestealers already got sold a while back...

This army is going up on the 'Bay tomorrow though. In the next few weeks I may have to sell my EPIC Iron Warriors army too...


No I haven't, but it's good to know that others think along the same lines as me!
