So is it just me ... or would any others like to see a Crassus in Epic scale ?

Perhaps, but very low priority personally; lots of other things I'd sooner see debigurised. It'd be good to read the rules and background to really get a feel for it though. Perhaps it could have a place in the Cadian list? Up to the debigurisers really.

I stumbled across this on Warseer:

I managed to speak to the guys at Forge World this weekend whilst at Salute and have a tiny bit of news on the Imperial Guard Crassus...It won't just come with Heavy Bolters for the sponsons but will have Heavy Bolters, Auto Cannons, Heavy Stubbers and Las Cannons in the kit...The exciting bit though is that there will be another variant. This one won't have the interior detail/crew compartment, but instead the rear section will be a pop up box missile launcher and is looking very nice.

Thirded on the MLRS.

The Cadian Gate symbol on the nose does lend credence to it's use (at least occasionally) by the Cadians. However, I'm hard pressed to see how it wouldn't be best as a "counts as" Gorgon at epic scale. It appears to have 2-3DC, probably Gorgon-level armor or slightly better, a capacity of only 30-40, and two heavy weapons, usually Heavy Bolter equivalants. What makes it distinctive from a Gorgon?

Does anyone have any information on its stats in 40k?

Wasn't the concept art for the MLRS floating about the net 3+ years ago, with the rest of the concept art for Siege of Vraks?

I think you're right that the Crassus art has been around for a while, perhaps since just prior to the Gorgon's release.

A peruse of the internet brought this up:

Yep, that's it. Almost looks like it was intended to be a Malcador varaint at first.

Aye, the models have deviated from their original sketches. The malcador defender above the MRLS has what looks to be a lascannon/multilaser in a chimera style turret, which didn't make the cut in the end.

I can't find the rest of the Vraks sketches which is a pity. In my opinion, the best concept sketch has to be the malcador style bombard. It's epic and warrants production...

i have absolutely zero interest in the stats or 6mm modelation of the 'ugly version of a gorgon' crassus. but i would be interested in a mega-artillery version

Oh an MLRS system sounds very interesting. Not sure about another Gorgon type vehicle. I still have to finish my first Bn of those yet.
