I love your basing as always. I, too, have fond memories of beating up Squats.

Good to see that your inspiration is back.

I'll call you tomorrow,

Fredmans

Thanks! :)

I looked at my pictures from the game last tuesday. I couldn't do a battlereport like I hoped to. I hadn't taken enough photos and I didn't take any notes so there were to many holes to fill. (Let me know if you want any pictures of btw.)

I guess I'll be hearing from you tomorrow then :)

cheers

Looks like your regularly freakish standard! How many stands will it be?

Thanks :) (i guess ;D )!

The basic squat warrior formation includes 9 or 10 warrior units. I will therefore make at least 20 stands of them to be able to field two warrior formations. I might even do some more to be able to take the warrior upgrade.

I had some holes as well, mainly from you failing so many activations and using re-rolls, but I tried to write it from memory anyway. It's in the battle reports' sub-forum. Let me know if I got anything wrong. Next time, I'll bring a proper camera.

Great to see the Squats. Nice idea to vary the post of the Warriors. Stops them getting broken when they're packed in cases too.

What's the diameter of the coins you're using for the Squat bases?

Yeah something had to be done about the monoposing :)

They're based on the swedish "1" krona, which is a 25mm coin.
The original idea was to make them magnatizable, but it turns out that swedish
coin do not include any iron ::)

I've since heard though that icelandic coin (their krona is worth next to nothing)
do and their 5 krona (i think) is 25 mm. So if you have a ready supply of those
then you're all set ;D

I like the way you put interiors on your building. I think I will have to upgrade mine.
Nice Tau and looking forward to seeing the squats.

Yeah I would have loved to come this year again! But I will not be able to make it.

Me and another of the guys in stockholm are looking at arranging a tournament in Stockholm in the beginning of may though.
I'd be great if any of you southrons can come up. (More info will follow as soon as we've cleared all the detail with the place were we want to be.)

ore info will follow shortly as soon as all details are sorted out
with the place were we're want to hold the tournament.

Thanks!

And now an update of sorts.

I've been trying out a few different paint schemes. Yellow will be the main army color. I've done gray/stone bases to make it look like they're defending one of their barren homeworlds or perhaps an mining outpost on a moon or something.

I tried some yellow/brown and yellow/green combinations but didn't like any of them. It's now only yellow with white/grays. I want them to be sort of not to colorful except for the yellow to kind of blend in with the grayness of their landscape, if that makes any sense. Below are the three versions I've got left but I find it hard to decide which version to go with. (sorry for the rather bad photos. I couldn't get any descent shots with the macro-objective being half broken).

from left to right:
A. Yellow helmets, white flak/shirts
B. Yellow helmets and armour
C-D. White helmets, yellow armor.

which do you like the best?

cheers and thanks for looking!

I like 'em all equally except A.

C & D have the advantage of standing out more, B has more consistancy.
