Post subject:  Anyone have pictures of Scotia Infantry?

Asking this question here as it only causes accusations and arguments on TMP . . . Has anyone got photographs of the Scotia 6mm SF infantry types?

To explain; I have some of the infantry myself, and there were two types at the time I bought them (Back in the 1980s ), one type being a figure with a long striated (Gauss?) rifle held vertically in the air, with the other arm out, and the ones I am more interested in, a gas-masked figure with a strapped backpack, holding a short pulse-rifle across the body at the combat-ready carry. Now, the figures are renamed, and I was hoping that the latter are called the Marines as they were before, but this might be changed.
I have seen the envirosuit figures with the long rifle/smart gun weapon, but have sufficient of these. . . I'm looking to see if anyone can explain which is which and maybe has some comparison photos to share.

Thanks in advance , guys :)

They are a mixed bag. Some are quite nice , others very ordinary. They really need photos. Unfortunately they claim they dont have the time. Great shame really as i would order more from them. Prices are good. I like AAF0011 Alien Workshop Conversion. It looks like a generic chaos tank with spikes in a world war 1 style. AAF0011 heavy tank multi turret also has potential.

Kind of off topic but, something I'd like to say. To piggyback on the last few posts.....I don't understand these companies that don't bother to put pictures on their sites. It defeats the purpose of them being in business. And, Scotia is one of the worst at it. I've been checking their site for a decade wanting to see pictures of their stuff and they still don't have pics. There's no excuse for it.

Jaggedtooth has it right.....why bother to buy stuff you can't see.

I guess they are relying on price and word of mouth. Wont work for them. Just poor business sense. The photos wouldn't have to be of painted minis.

it would take a days work, two tops, to give every model in their line a black wash, and a photograph, then another two days, maybe three, to update their site with said photos. if i lived close by i'd do the bloody thing for them, they could pay me in miniatures.

*sigh* I thought this would happen . . . in England, the manufacturers of miniatures would usually attend the game shows with their entire range on display so that the advertisements and catalogues were simply an 'aide memoir' or future promotion for their wares as people had either seen them or would do at the next show. Plus which, the illustrated advertisements and catalogues tended to be very expensive for the smaller companies; However, many of those small companies used to give out free samples to anyone who wrote in and included return postage in the form of International Reply Coupons ( You know, the ones Ponzi used to fulfil The American Dream ) which was often a loss leader. So, many of us understand the cultural inertia here that these smaller companies have.

Also, the cost of digital cameras is very different outside the US . . . A simple one in my country, for example, costs me three months wages at the average, assuming one did not waste their cash on food, rent and so forth. I can understand the difficulties involved and not blame people for failing to measure up to what are incredibly high standrds set by some nations. ( I hope this comes across as this does http://www.e-rcps.com/gripes/ but I apologise if it seems rude ).

Anyway, back to the point - L4 yes, they may not be so great, nevertheless I think they make perfect ESU militia for Dirtside, so can you recall which code is which please?
