Looking through some old Epic stuff I unearthed these Squat figures which I remember were a favourite model (both in Epic and even in WH40K scale).

(I hazard a guess that Legion 4 has some of these).
I was thinking that they may make nice Ork things, though not sure what....

Hi!
Yes, squat exo-armor. It was the equivalent of terminator armor rules wise.
I painted mine just like that too, the bronze color is fitting!

Yes, Jimbo ! You are correct again ! I have a number of Exo-armored Hearth Guard stands, with my large Squat Force ! Very cool paint job too !

dead simple paint job
black undercoat
drybrush bronze (though I think it was actually copper)
green base
blue insignia
that's it
these would work really well on Warmaster scale bases (40mm x 20mm)
I do remember that these were basically all I got done from a Squat force as
(a) I never really likes the Squat vehicles, too small for what they were supposed to represent, the Overlord is a prime example of this.
(b) Regular Squat infantry was a pain to paint well, and after an hour on one biker decided to leave them for another day...

Wow! Suddenly I don't feel so bad about my latest weight increase. I still have a long way to go to catch up with you...
The Exo armors look good. I have been painting mine with various combinations of Chainmail & Bonze. The first brotherhood's warlord was painted with chainmail armor & bronze trim. On the second one I reversed the colors. The next one will probably be chainmail + copper and so on.
For the Grand Marshal I think I'll use gold.

Hi!
Sorry to leave you lone on that one L4, but at the years start I weighed 325lbs!
I'm close to my fourth month of dieting and have lost 75lbs. Weigh 250 flat this morning. My goal is 200 flat by summer.
