One of the changes in the EA rules is the flexibility with bases.
Those of you who have seen Carl Woodrow's EA Terminators will have realised he has followed Mark Bedford's lead and based them on 40mm x 20mm (read Warmaster) bases.
I have decided to do the same with my Feral Orks, however I have also decided to create an Ork Warlord base as well for my regular Ork army.

It has seven models on (as allowed by the rules), an Ork Warlord (converted from a Nob and a Warlord), three Nobz, a Weirdboy and two grots.
I might add some scenery as well.

This is pretty neat. I'm tempted to use those bases as well because it doesnt make the base looked so cramped, but since the beginning (many many years ago), I've never actually glued my models to the bases.
I've always used paint to hold them in place which acts almost as good as glue with the added bonus that I was able to convert my old sq bases to the long base without any nasty consequences. Also if they get knocked, they don't break at the legs, but rather just come off the base. Rarely happens anyway.

Nice! Is there anywhere to get just the Warmaster bases? I can make my own, but would rather buy some if I can find some.
My 2cents,

Quote (CyberShadow @ 21 2004 April,12:10) | I just ordered some from GW: MO at 50p for three. So, ?3 should get about 18 bases. |
You get more bases for the same price if you order the bags of WM bases rather than sprues of 3 bases.
Warmaster bases are also the perfect size for basing bikes, cavalary and vehicles (if you like to base your vehicles).

Personally I use 2p coins.... I was looking at my FW Eldar tanks and wondered what I could do to improve the way they looked as they all seemed rather small & static... so I decided to base them up! I was very pleased with the end result, & I'll post a few pics sometime for you to see... ?
