Greeting Gentleman, it's just the new kid fishing for ideas. Feel free to mock or ignore. Anyway, I've got a mrk3 great gargant off ebay, which I want to rework into the E:A statline. ?This means I need to add a lifta droppa and at least one twin soopagun, plus a base. I plan to take a LD from a mekboy dragsta and possibly a twin soopa gun from an exceptionally old (possibly space crusade) assualt cannon and lollypop sticks. Ais there any advice you people could give me? Suggestions and advice appreciated. ? ![]() |

Yep, Krooza is definitely "da man" when it comes to Ork (or almost any other) conversions. However, some of my (not so humble) opinions follow. The lifta-droppa needs IMO an "upper arm" plus an "elbow" joint to look good. Otherwise it will end up looking somewhat like a semaphore. ![]() If you manage to make an ammo belt for the soopagun it'll be even more impressive. Good luck with the conversion and don't forget to post pics! ![]() |

Well thanx for all the praise u guys but I realy dont have that much to say other than the best thing to do is brouse the net for as many Gargant pics u can find, your bound to find something that inspires you. Once u have a real good idea of what you want to do make sure you use the best parts possible for the job, making do with second choice parts will lead to you being unhappy with the end result no matter how much care n attention you put into your conversion. You often find lots of good deals on ebay, resently there was some asorted Mega Gargant parts for sale.. I think they sold for about ?2 in the end. Personly I like my gargants to have big arm mounted weapon. The Mk 1,2,3 and 4 all suffered from having tiny arms. You may find the SupaLifaDroper from an Ork Dragsta to be a bit on the small side. |

I should also mention that you can use WH40K Ork parts to convert Epic Gargants so dont feel you have to restrict yourself to using souly epic bitz. All my Gargants use lots of WH40K parts, just think carefully about weather your chosen parts make convincing epic scale bitz and youll have no problems. |

How about the BFG plastics? I imagine that the various sensor masts would make for good bits. Nova cannons would be good big guns as would lance turrets with a little work. I have some bits left over from a slightly hit an miss attempt at kill kroozas. |

Just remember the racial character and you'll be fine. Ork equipment tends to look like it was bashed together from any available scrap because usually it has been. ![]() ![]() |

Here goes: see here. Try the links referring to Firewings - the wings stuck on the old plastic Falcons are the cowcatcher blades from the MegaGargant - although I 'd admit the Mega-G is a rather particular ork model. ![]() |

I think the old firestorm AA gun would nook nice as an extremely shooty arm weapon for a gargant... Cheers! ![]() |
