I decided to take a couple of members up on thier invitation and come to TacCom and well, this is my first post here.

I don't play Epic currently but have been interested since 1991 and played a little Epic 40k. I love to convert and paint the minis. I am building armies that can be used for Epic Armageddon, Net Epic or with Future War Commander. I figure it increases my odds of finding players and gives me the excuse I need to paint.

I posted the following pics over at the Waaaagh some time ago. I am re-posting them here because I intend to add more pics of other Orky stuff to this Thread. Once i am done with an Ultramarine army I am working on I plan to get knee deep in Epic Orky Conversions and Scratchbuilds.

The unpainted conversions can be seen here;

These are still unfinished, I need to base, weather and banner them.

I look forward to posting more pics in the future.

Awesome stuff, that's a whole lot of rivets. You should enter them in the EpiComp!

Great Orks, really nice clean paint jobs, slick conversions. Really brings the Goff theme alive without being too dark or drab. Going to have to steal the metallic outlining of the panels. The stompas are awesome too.

I love your work & it's good to see you here. :)

While "Da Waaagh" is a fabulous & inspiring site, I think you'll find a more responsive audience at these forums.

Thanks for the welcome and all the replies.

Dave, I think I will enter a few things into EpiComp. It gives me a reason to completely finish them.

Lord Aaron, I used normal Stompas the basis for all my Stompas. I just made the Supa Stompa taller and tried to make it look more like the 40k Stompa. I mounted one of the Stompas on a tracked chassis for variety.

WestSide, I paint them in a few layers of metallics from tin bits up to mithril silver with a lot of rusty oranges and oxide blues to orkify them. After that I paint the colors into the panels. Being orks i dont care if they are neat. I then highlight the rivets and stuff but will tone that down before I call it done. The waagh thread shows the base colors.

Ghudra, thanks for the invite.
