Hey there friends!

From the awesome Siege supplement, I'm using the models in there as my inspiration. Now if I didn't know any better, I'd say that the chassis used for the Stormsword came from the Shadowsword. But I could be crazy and maybe they are Forge World creations...which are now non-existent according to the website.

It's pretty obvious the quickest way to achieve this would be to buy some FW SS and cut down the main gun barrel. Anybody got any good ideas for the main gun barrel?

They used to be sold by Forgeworld.

I think that some passable conversions could be made by using FW Shadowsword hulls, and some 40k sized mortar type weapons?

It did; background-wise they started like as tank factory conversions of Shadowswords/Stormblades which had their main gun destroyed/damaged.

If you can find a decent proxy for the main gun somehow you should be fine. Just cutting down the Shadowsword's gun and hollowing out the front with a big drill bit could well be an option.

He is, but such things don't happen over night.

hey guys drew here bit of a noob here from the land down under
could not help but seeing yr post and have seen some very sweeeet conversions for super heavies from a member of this site by the name of "onyx". lives here in perth but does some totally awesome work with this sort of stuff. he made a conversion for a stormblade with what looks like a 40k plasma pistol or gun so he may well be someone to ask and i know he also does "jobs" too.
