Well, after putting together fluff and lists and playing a few games, it's time to get crackin on painting all these marines for my custom chapter, the Sons of Animus...
I want to do a diary, because I think that'll keep me somewhat committed to painting, but I don't exactly have the best camera.
The best I can get you guys is here.
That's a picture of the first tactical squad I've gotten painted, I like the scheme. ?I plan on using the orange to distinguish between squads (I like the look of it, it's an opinion thing). ?I'm just wondering what you guys think of the colors as well as the quality of the photo (i.e. is that good enough quality to make a diary out of?)
Please don't tell me to go get a new camera, I'm 16 years old and can't exactly afford another one.

Maybe get a couple close up shots so we can see the full extent of the scheme. What it really reminds me of currently are the sand troopers from Tatooine in Star Wars, but less dusty, and I like it.
And no, I won't recommend a new camera, I'm in a similar boat meself.

I'm thinking a snow or urban basing scheme would work better - something about the white and the ye olde greene doesn't mesh.
Other than that, i think it's pretty cool.

I was thinking about my base scheme earlier, and the reason I chose green was because that's the color of the playing surface we'll be playing on 99% of the time, and the other basing types look pretty dumb against it. Ice/urban rubble/desert kinda clashes with a ping-pong table.

True enough. If only some company would wise up and give us clear, unadulterated bases. 
I'm trying to convince the two guys I got into the game to go with snow terrain.
