Gents,

I just received my order from WTJ (The War Times Journal) of my Eylau Minis. It's just like Christmas in December..... :D (a mmmmmmm, ha, wait minute! Forget it!)

I believe I first heard about these minis from the master list of manufactures kept and updated from members here at Tactical Command. If anyone has the link to that master list, please repost it. I've been looking at their website store for about 2 years now. I finally decided to place an order, ordering 12 different minis.

Let me just say that these are quite a bit more than what I expected. Beautiful in fact. The casts are as nice as the pictures on the store link. Clean casts with absolutely no flash. Truly impressive. As soon as I determine which I want to expand on, I will be placing another order. Oh also, check out the prices.........great value for the money!! Perfect size for 6mm. I will be using them for AI - Drone Tank Destroyers.

Before anyone asks, pics can be found of all their minis with the exception of 1 (the J13 Adder) on their website: http://www.wtj.com/store/

Happy 6mm gaming,

Very nice! I think your paint jobs are right on. What do you use your minis for?

The colour scheme is very very nice. Are you using a wet pallet to gain that effect?

I use them to represent a high-tech faction for my soon-to-be-released minis rules... soon as in sometime within the next 7-10 days. :D

Painting was pretty straightforward - did the greens first (base, ink, drybrush). The chassis were base-coated in bronze, with brass and gold 'camo', then inked with devlan mud. Some additional patches of green and black ink were applied to add minor relief detail. I'm thinking about re-doing the bases, as they don't really highlight the minis the way they're currently done. Too many other piles of unpainted pewter to get through, though - they're painted and playable as they are, so they can wait a spell. ;)
