Swaped some of my smaller ork stuff with Falesh for this Mk1 Great Gargant. Only had it a day but its already been converted. Cut the dodgy looking feet off first n replaced them with some Mk5 GG feet. Then stuck these oversized arms on it. Still needs work but Im pleased with it so far. ? ![]() http://briefcase.yahoo.com/bc/kr00zza |

Fantastic conversion looks very Orky! ? ![]() How come its like a creamy colour though? Confused; it looks like its made from plastic but I didnt think they ever made plastic gargants, or did they?... Glyn |

He is mostly made from resin, giving it that colour. |

Resin? I thought making models out of resin was something that GW had only been doing relatively recently?... Glyn |

I think it was a bit of a one off, how to fill such a large body without it costing a bomb. Maybe that was the only thing they could think of doing, it must be over 10 years since I bought it so the GW might not have been quite as advanced at building big models *shrug*. |

The first two Great Gargant models produced had resin bodies & metal accessories. They were pretty much just prototypes for the metal models, but it seems more were made than I thought up until a year or so back - they keep cropping up all over the place! |

Like Nessie and the Yeti, these old anomalies occasionally show up ! Darkone was "in search of" these, but I don't if he ever found them ... ? ![]() |

Interesting ![]() Thanks for the info on the Resin Gargants, surprised I didn?t know about them as I do have every WD back to like issue 30 but it must have slipped my notice. Hmm may have to see if I can hunt one down at some point (or are they really, really rare and hence expensive?)... Glyn |
