Anyone know of any chaos Gargant converstions?
Ive never seen one but was thinking of making a Gargant of Nurgle from a round shape Mk3 Great Gargant, as this models basic shape is simlar to a Nurgle Demon.
Anyone know of any reason Chaos Gargants seem so rare?
Are there rules that make the demonic possestion of a Gargant impossible?

Hi!

That would be a great conversion. I dont think I have seen any ork converted stuff to chaos since the old days of epic.

Just an aside question...can you use just about any force in Epic and corrupt/convert it to chaos?  Ie, Eldar, Orcs?

Just curious.

I think any race can be corupted by the forces of chaos. Humans for certain, and Squats as there are Chaos Dwarfs in WH. Dark Elder are very chaos like anyway. Orks behave more chaotic than chaos itself ?:D
When it comes to the Tyranid race Im unsure... though I see no reason why not. All you'd need would be a Tyranid hive ship to be caught in the eye of terror and who knows what might happen, ones thing for sure, such a race would have some very intresting models.
And because chaos has four very distinctive powers theres something to suit all races, Khorne and Nurgle suits Orks and ?Squats, but not so suited to Elder or Tau, but in turn Slaanesh and Tzeentch would suit these two races well. Humans seem to look good in any chaos power.
This has got me thinking and I reakon a Tzeentch Elder Titan would look great too. Take a look at ST15 in the Painting Compertition Gallery and imagin that same convertion done on an Elder Titan. :;):

I think I read somewhere that Tau wasn't very warp sensitive beings so corruption by chaos was very uncommon.

Cheers! :)

Hi all,
don't forget that from the WH40K gaming universe you get 'The Adversaries of the Daemonhunter' (Codex Daemonhunters, pp.49-53), which gives rules for possessing the army leader of ANY army by a greater daemon and for using summonable daemon packs as well. Only limitation is that these armies can only be used against daemonhunter armies, a countercheese issue. White Dwarf included an article (Orks and Sisters of Battle) and a battle report (DH vs possessed Ulthwe Eldar) on the topic. The article mentioned by Jimbo was a battle between the Tau (with Kroot mercenaries) against Slaaneshi chaos troops. After an initial battle some of the Kroot troops ate their adversies' corpses and were corrupted, attacking the remainder of the Kroot and the Tau the next day. The Tau won in the end - the battle-suited commander managed to dispatch a Keeper of Secrets and thought he had killed Slaanesh him/her/itself. }:)

Hi!

I would say any race but tyranids could be possessed. The hive mind is all powerful and psychic as well. They would be next to impossible to corrupt.

Well thats true. But if a Tyranid Hive ship was sucked deep into the chaos warp then would that hive ship be disconnected from the Hive Mind??? Leaving the ship and its crew at the mercy of the powers of chaos :O
Anythings possible :;):

I have Epic Chaos Squats, from the old SM1/SM2 sprues.  I've seen recent W/D articles about Chaos corrupted Tau & Kroot (vanvlak mentioned this, too). And in the "old days", the Dark Eldar were lead by a Greater Daemon of Slann, not an Avatar.  I'm even going to convert my E40K Avatar to a Greater Daemon with wings & things !  And in the past there were Chaos Genestealer Cults.  I have an Epic version, I posted here before, based on the old "fluff".  Chaos is everywhere !  AAaaHHhh !!!  :o  }:)

How about Necrons... the average Warrior probably wouldn't be 'posessable' seeing as they are not actually alive.. :;):

..but the C'Tan on the other hand seem to have a phobia of warp energy.. I wonder if they can be corrupted by Chaos, or if they are just utterly destroyed by too much warp-stuff...  :oo

Hi!

I think one issue is whether you can be possessed and controlled and another harmed by warp energy. Tyranids and Necrons could possibly be harmed by it but perhaps not controlled by it.
