Hi all,
I was glousing* through the Specialist Games site and noticed a rather nice Inquisitor Tau Water Caste ambassador model - and wondered how to make an equivalent EA scale one.  :o
Given unrestricted choice - which would be the hardest 40K universe background conversion you could imagine for EA**? :L

*glancing at/brousing through - used as a fop to your ego when you really should admit you were browsing, rather than glancing, at a website on a busy day
**size-barred! i.e. don't include an EA-scale Ork Hulk, or any model larger than 1m ( :oo )

Since size category is not allowed (I was going to nominate a cherubim) I think Eldar Phoenix lords would be quite hard to do.

Aren't WM figures a slightly larger scale?

Ummm - yes - but perhaps the Hrud are Tyranid Warrior-sized - we don't know, do we?

Warmaster squigs anyone?

Do WM have squig models?  I dont know much about WM.

How about using Ork/Nob/Grotz heads cut off for Squigs?

Phoenix Lords?  Erm, I suppose you could start with the Exarch model at least, and use parts of the aspect models.

One squig at least - the Warmaster Orc Characters blister includes a single model squig.
:;):
Orc heads? I couldn't do it! Too sentimental! :(  :(
Phoenix Lords - anyone game to try?

cheers.

Considering Mr. Skull has made Logan Grimnar in epic scale the phoenix lords would probably not be that challenging to him...  :;):

Maybe next year...

Yes, there are 3 different WM Squigs on their various Ork or Orc or models.  I cut and filed them off and plan on using them with the F/W Feral Ork Village, hopefully to be completed sometime next year !?   :oo

Well, I'm not too sure about the pheonix lords, but this thread has given me an idea for one more mad plan. It'll take a lot of work & be totally useless in the end, but in the new year I'll be putting together.................

Oh dear - appears the inquisition is tampering my posting again :blues: - Guess You'll have to wait and see ......  :p

The phoenix lord for Epic are one of my conversion project...
I also want to do some kind of "Space marine Gallery" with various special character and characterfull unit, like chapter Master Dante with honor guard, Captain Tycho with death company, Azrael with robed Dark Angels, etc.

But as i am currently building (and i'm a slow painter/converter) my SM army at the time being (and there are allready lots of conversions), i'll probably start those later.

I didn't really made any plan to build Aspect phoenix lord, but i'll think i'll use parts from Exarch and Aspect Warrior, plus Green Stuff...

But sometime, when looking to achieve a particular position for a mini -which is often the most striking link betwenn a 40K and an Epic copy mini, as Mr Skull did with his Logan Grimnar and Terminator Captain, and as i did for my own terminator captain- you find yourself scavenging in a bit box, and you may very well end with a piece from a totally unrelated mini.

You just finished one big project Tuff, do you really need "mad plans" right now?  :D
