it is an old plastic falcon (aks SM days) with addes sharp blade wings added though these are the ultra rare metal ones you can see how they should look ![]() |

If I'm not mistaken, the blades that have been added came from the front of the mega gargant "cow catcher" piece. |

+++ It is recommended that Frateris Nealhunt and Jimbo be executed for extreme contact with Xenos +++ Correct identification of Eldar Xenos vehicle evidence of their familiarity with the alien and warrants their termination +++ ![]() Ok, to get to the point: the 'x' is a conversion I'm trying on the old plastic Falcons to make them fit in a bit more - and I'm vain enough to take photos of it too - I have since added photo x2 showing the plan view. Fat cigar to Jimbo for identifying the vehicle in less than 1 hour and bonus to Nealhunt for the cowcatcher blades, which came off Deffsta. Colours not yet complete, probably a mix of yellow and red - my brightest army yet. Craftworld: Mingel (the 'g' is soft)... scythe in Maltese. Question is - should I use them as Falcons (useful, but no visible twin-linked shurikens; not much space in the model for troops) or as Fire Prisms (lance-like protuberance up front, but a bit small)? Also, are there any other plastic (or metal, as Jimbo pointed out) Falcon-based conversions around? ![]() |

Hi! Well Jimbo beat me too it. Haven't seen a metal falcon in quite some time. Primarch |

Yup! Those are the old SM1 Falcons. I've got about 20 of them and are my main MBT/IFVs for my Eldar Forces. And yes those are the blades from the Mega-Gargant! Great conversion and some great "Target ID work" all around! ![]() |

Hi! Most of those old metal rarities wound up in my bits box. Back then I really didn't like them much since they seemed out of place with the more common stuff. Ah, the follies of youth.... ![]() Primarch |

Hi all, my first Falcon conversion is now complete - I've christened it the Firewing (has this name been used yet in the 40K Eldar Universe?). The red and yellow colours are my choice for the Mingel Craftworld. Pic at eldar briefcase named firewing. ![]() |

Thanks Legion4 and Primarch - I'm getting better with my poor, cheap webcam - half the trick is getting the background shades right. ![]() Then again, I still feel I couldn't take a good photo unless there was an aeroplane fixed to the camera - but that's another story! ![]() |
