Hi,
Started to build a Capitol Imperialis.
It started with a chassis of airfix Tiger tank from WWII. I left 4 road wheels on each side instead of 8, because I felt that the lower chassis of a Tiger is too recognizable.

To thicken the road wheels, I glued plasticard tubes. They were measured according to the tracks, which were taekn from some 40K imperial tank (don't know which). After the tracks were installed, the main body was made from thick plasticard sheets. I need to trim and sand the body connection areas between the plates.

I would be grateful for any ideas and suggestions. For one what to put in the lower front opening. Maybe a gun?

Thanks for watching,
Eyal.

Hi,
Thanks :)..
I got the idea to use this chassis from his build. Actually I have all his build pics as reference :D

Nice work so far,

reminded me of my own unfinished project (I must dig that out!), I'll be following this for further inspiration.

Are you going gothic or modern with the look of your CI?

Hi,
I think to build it more modern than gothic, mainly because it will be easier that way :)..
Meanwhile I added gun sponsors on the sides, and improved the side skirts a bit.

Ooh! You could try making the armour panels look like those on the Mk3 Warlord: that would be cool :-)

Hi,
Some more details were added.
Also I decided to change the side cannons a bit and make cannon turrets out of them.

Nice, imposing look to your build. I like the detail on the rear hydraulics and the cannon redesign. ;)

Nice work, but it's a bit tall for my taste.

Hi,
I continued to work on the CI, here are some progress photos. It jsut takes lots of time which I don't have so much, but there is some progress.

I started to add some details to the body, and two main elements, the front "plower" and the back landing pad which was measured according to a Valkyrie miniature. There sill be some stairs leading from the landing pad to the back.

hope you like, and hope to hear your ideas and opionions,
Eyal.

Very smart looking scratchbuild ;) With some paint and some weathering that machine will look very smart on the battlefield me thinks ;)

Keep up the good work regards epic

very nice work - it's more "modern" style makes it look like it'd be right at home in an adeptus mechanicus army, or at least a guard army from a more technologically advanced world.
