I've been thinking on and off about getting back into Epic for sometime. Actually thats a lie, I was never into Epic, the last time I played it was called Adeptus Titanicus with made up rules for the little squishy guys. I managed to find all my old stuff in my mum's garage and its in surprisingly good nick considering its been there for 20 odd years. Anyway, my main dissapointment was in being reminded how s**t the Space Marine sculpts were, so one dimensional. My second dissappointment was in how small the Titans are but thats another story. Wondering what to do for marine proxies I recieved an order from GW with some of the Chaos sprures and I really like the Chaos marines even if they do make my previous 20 year old ones look like school children. I've read a few comments on how cartoony the Chaos stuff looks but I quite like them and have started converting some to Imperial marines which is pretty easy, just snip off the funny ball things on their shoulders. I'm looking for inspiration on how to modify a few with missle launchers, has anyone seen anything like that before? Any links? Thanks. |

They look really great but you have far greater skills than me - just seen your titan..... More realistcally for me is conversion and I've just seen a couple of plastic marine character models in another thread - http://lh3.ggpht.com/_vEU3a09jmQM/S4fgc ... G_0023.JPG Where are the first and last models from? I can't see which pack/set they were included with. |

the first is a space marine medic, which is included in the Character pack, the last looks like it is custom to me or it may be int he Character pack as well. |

It's worth pointing out that that pic in particular is of plastic minis, the marine character pack models are metal and (imo) lose some of the quality but that might just be me. I persume GW just decided to re-cast the plastics in metal and all that.. you might be able to find the right plastics on ebay if you trawl around hard enough. |

The last figure is a SM standard bearer from the E40k box set - just with flag removed |

Plasmablast's infantry is nice, but a little smaller than it looks at first - the regular infantry make good Scouts, IMO, but not good Marines. |
