I'm posting these pics for the simple fact that these are the first models I've done, in what seems like ages, for the singular purpose of going into my new, slowly growing, IG army. That and to show off this cool stuff I found in the local Meijers craft section. It's called Metalizer paste. It's a metalic pigment paste. ? It comes in a tray of seven colors (blue, purple, red, silver, copper, green, and gold). This stuff is great. It's ideal for dry brushing and gives just about anything a metallic sheen. Just dry brush it on the base color then seal coat it. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Looks great! ? And a good painting method, too! ? ![]() |

Seekermeng, I like the look of them too. Great work! I'm busy assembling Tyranids. Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak. |

Going with the metallic paint idea... I've also used a white pearlescent to make metallic-looking paints. A drop of white and a drop of ink and you have a metallic of any color you want. It works best for freaky colors (like hot pink metallics for Slaanesh). For more "plain" (for lack of a better word) colors, I just use a regular metallic as the base (bronze for reds, silver for blues, etc.) |
