If you can get one of the old plastic Warhammer skeleton chariots, the long "spine" that goes forward for the mounts to be hitched to makes a good chaos tail for an Imperator. I've also used the flails from the 40K defiler as Chaos titan tails.

remember that with careful application of heat (above a flame usually) most plastic can be bent into shape...just don't set it alight! THe old OOP titan tails actually made by GW are, obviously, also a good choice for the smaller titans. |

A bunch of Necron bits could also be used quite successfully if bent a bit. |

I've used the same 40K Defiler flails as Zap and I've also used a zip to make a Chaos Titan tail (used super glue to hold it in a curve and then attached it to the Reaver titan). |

I do believe that Onyx used zippers coated in superglue as tails. They looked pretty good. |

I'd also like to suggest some of the old Zoid toys as well - many came with suitable tails that you could use and are usually very cheap on Ebay. |
