I use .040"/1mm card for the load bearing structure of most of my models. In this case I added a sheet of .010"/.25mm cut to size for detail. Take a scribing tool or blunted nail, and press on what will be the back of the sheet when it's glued down. Press hard enough you get a dimple, but not so hard you punch a hole in the plastic. When you've done this around the edge and anywhere else you want rivets, flip the sheet over and glue it to the model. You end up with rivets that have rounded tops like real rivets, take drybrushing or paint easily, and require less time and precision than individually placing rivets made from plastic rod or other material.

I have lost my inspiration to paint Orks. And i cannot decide how I want to paint my Titan Legion. So I figured the best thing was to start a third project - Space Marines!

Here is the first batch of the line.

This is meant to be a fun fluffy project and an army I can use for introgames to lure in new players. Here is what I am thinking. It is not tournament competitive but very characterfull I think. A full Battlecompany with additional support. I am thinking of painting the tacticals in the Thunderhawk to be from a different capter. But which?

My orks had an outing today.

The attacking Goffs didn't stand a chance against the Bad Moons.

Painting ADD struck again and I am back to the Orks.

I am planning a D-day landing for my orks and for that they need some landingcraft.

Here is a wip of some landingsraft being orkified

But seeing a Epic and especially a D-day type scenario is also very mush about visuals. And seeing as I apparently have more spare ork models that common sense I have started to fill my landingcraft with boyz just waiting to hit the beach.

Fantastic work. Love the landing crafts and the troops. What else do you have in plan for D-day?

Two more boatloads of orks are getting ready.
Image

Notihing fixed has been planned for the D-day game yet but it will be along the lines of this game played by Speaker to Machines only with the Orks storming the beaches and Imperial Guard holding the trenches.

I have 6 landing crafts and two hover landingcrafts. They will be joined by my amphibious Krawla, seen previous in this thread and the small river patrol boat.

And I cannot get rid of the mental immage of a flight of Big Koptas and death koptas dropping out of the sun with "Ride of the Cyboars" by Rikork Warghnar blasting from their kustom build speakers!!!
And according to Kolonel Killgork that particular beach has some kickass waves.

So I am trying to come up with a cunning plan to do some Big Koptas for the air assault on the rear artillery. I already have two Landas and quite a lot of death koptas. And if anyone has any great inspiration for drop Roks og Drop Kans, please share them here.
