Hi guys,

Just picked up THIS LINK which has some new stuff for E:A shown on it (Landraider, landspeeders etc).

Its a pity they didnt do more with the display models. They look very plain in black templars, and yet have some nice freehand stuff. Oh well....

It stil seems strange when I view such pages of "preview figures" and see models I painted. Not just because I painted them, but because I did so over a year ago, and they're still going to be "preview" for a while to come!  :blues:

Wow, it looks like Baltamore had quite a lot more on display. I wish they had  even half that at the Los Angeles GD.

Hi!

Pretty creative diorama that one.

Of course, it seems epic is little more than props for 40k dioramas, instead of being one in their own right.

I guess we should get our epic wherever we can.

Yeah, I agree with you Primarch- there were some fantastic Epic dioramas being entered in GD 10yrs or so ago, in their own catagories even!!
Now they have to go in with 40k minis, which means they don't get much of a look in against all the dazzling 40k stuff..... :L

I hear that Stormseer. I still love to browse my old WD's from the golden age of epic to just see the winner of the gloden demon epic category, great stuff.

Oh sweet painful nostalgia...... :{

I wish Tuffskull would win the open category with an epic fig.  :D

I also wish he had pics of the Epic Abaddon destroyed by GW staff...

BTW, Tuffskull, I'm ripping off yoru 40,000 Watts of War idea to do a LR conversion for my Slaanesh force, because it's  :blues: way cool.

Hehe- this was precisly what I was looking at- "Fantasy Miniatures '92" it was called, and there is a lot of good Epic as well as 40k and Fantasy in there- the Slayer Sword winner is superb- an amazing Nurgle Predator which has gretly inspired me for my Death Gurd stuff....

Hi!

Their was an epic battleforce and a single titan category, I'm not sure if there was a single category as well.

I wonder if we should do a "epicomms" epic battleforce contest. Would be fun.

What a GREAT idea!!  Like the Bolter & Chainsword Forum's EoT painting contest.  I cant recalle xatly what the rules were, but it went something along the lines of having to have photos of the baremetal mini and then some along the way.  That way the entires could be turned into articles of how they were done after the competion was complete.

I think this is a brilliant idea, tos ee if we cant tempt some of those self confessed painting haters (I'm one of them!) on the other thread to breaking out the brushes.

We need to have a longish lead time, like start time August 1, final entries by Oct 31, then a month of poll voting for a decree of winners on 1 Dec.

So what categories to have....  My initial 2 cents worth:

Single War Engine (including Titans)
Single Vehicle
Detachment/Company Force (ant type)

I'm really excited by this a really hope it gets up and going!  Let me know if I can help organise it.
