Looking through Epic Battles at the Squat cards last night made me realise that I had only a vague idea what the original SM2 formations were for Squats! Is there anywhere that lists what the cards were, and what was on each card? I assume that NetEpic has the same cards, but I'm not totally sure (are they the same?). If anybody would be kind enough to list them for me, or even send me a decent photograph of them all so that I can see, I'd be very grateful! I may never play SM2 -my army is being geared towards E40k really- but I'd like to have the option in the future and so having enough models to cover the formations would aces. |

That's brilliant Sam, thank you! I do have a couple more quick questions please: So the only ways to get Exo Armour or Hearthguard stands is through squads and companies then? No formations of either on their own (besides the Grand Warlord cards)? Also, are all the Exo Armoured models always considered to be Warlords or Grand Warlords in SM2? |

Thanks again guys, that's very helpful. Another question for you (since I was cleaning up my infantry and basing them); which stands did the old missile launcher Squats originally go on? I squinted at the Ork/Squat battle report in WD154 and I couldn't see that they were in either the Warriors stands, or the Thunderers. I do know that there was variation in what went on which stands, but I have no idea what folks did with the MLs - did people just stick one in each stand of Thunderers then? Also, is any of this stuff in O&S Warlords? I had AotI, and the information on cards/formations was absent, and the modelling section was tiny (and gave you no advice on what infantry went on which stands). |

I put one missile launcher on a stand with 4 Warriors. If "any of this stuff" means info on formations, most of it is in the Warlords supplement. A couple of additional formations were released in WD and TL. The Doomanvil SQuadron appeared in an issue of Firepower, I think. |

The NetEpic Squat book will be fairly similar to SM2 formations for the classic units. There will be some new stuff though

I based some with hvy bolter squads and some with warriors . Also, ( just cos I could ) I used some squat gunners and added Ork komando axes to make them into character models or berserkers.Looks good and easy to do !

Funnily enough, I've been trying to think of a suitable (and numerous) model to plunder for a hand weapon for my Veteran Berserkers - and I'd not considered the Kommandos. And, what's even better is that I can put the removed bolt weapon from the Berserker back onto the donor Kommando to make Kommando Kapitains! It is brilliant suggestion actually, so thank you!
