The Chimera with autocannon turret photos from the FW website, what colors do you think were used to paint it?

The lighter colors looks like a desert yellow, but lighter. Maybe mixed with a khaki or something and washed/shaded with a dirt brown? The darker looks like a very dark brown, or practically a gray? It almost looks like wrought iron to me.

It was painted by Kevan Downey, I haven't been able to track him down and ask him yet. :P

I used to love the Howard Hues 'Dust.' Came out roughly that color.

Hm. I should put an ammo cylinder on the side of my APC cannon turret.

Is there a fluff reason for making it difficult to armor a magazine containing explosives?

That thing gives "shot trap" new meaning

Sand yellow base with burnt umber stripes as I see it.

It looks like the sand yellow was resprayed a bit to blend the colors together a bit & I'd suspect some drybrushing in a lighter color in some sections as well.

Rule of cool.

But back on topic, you could try http://www.reapermini.com/PowerPalette/ for Reaper paint equivalents. Plus it's fun to play with.
