Hi all, I've made quite a few model kits in the past, and one thing I've never been happy with is the way the transfers (decals) turn out: they always seem shiny compared to the model they're stuck on. Does anyone have any tips on how to produce "seamless" transfers? Also, any recommendations on how to seal them under varnish? I once ruined a painstakingly painted USS Enterprise when I sprayed Purity Seal over the transfers and they shrivelled up, now I'm terrified to touch the things! |

BoLS has a good tutorial about making custom decals. The info on applying them will be useful for you though. http://www.belloflostsouls.net/2007/07/ ... heets.html To blend them in with the model you can lightly drybrush the base color over them. That makes them appear more realistic. |

I use decal softener myself, then spray a dull cote or varnish over top with fairly good results. |

Yes ... as Dobby said ... And I always brush on clear flat, then spray on Dullcoat the next day ... |
