For a break between painting Space Marine Tactical stands and their Rhinos (rather tedious after about 18 ), I'm making little bits of terrain with the small wall sections you get on the base sprues. Now, I'm wondering what other interesting things I can make with them, apart from L or U-shapes....

A short list - on Titan bases; along side road sections; glued to the larger ruins from E40K; form squares and rectangles to make low ruins, add G/W "Arcane Architecture" small windows and the like, to represent doors or big windows. ?

Thanks Legion 4, well today I made my first bit- a simple L-shape, card mounted, with rubble, flooring made of squares of card cut into various shapes, some cut in half to look like huge cracked flagstones.... I've then PVA-ed sand to it, painted and drybrushed it to match my desert bases, and added a bit of lichen and static grass to finish it off.
I'm pretty chuffed in the end...

That sounds similar to what I do. I'd like to see it. ?I guess with Epic on line, I'll have to borrow my friend's digital camera !?

The little black ruins I either use for the inside of large ruined buildings, to represent inner walls, or on the bases of Titans. I have even chopped them a little smaller, so that I can have them on the bases of my dreads.

The MWDA guys used cardboard that was bent and cracked to give an aged look for pavement, concrete, asphalt. It looks really great.
I would also add that the "mini-ruin" sections make interesting irregular shaped buildings to like hexagons, octagons, etc. Just cut, glue, and add in sand around the joints. It looks good. Another idea is to use a combination of the ruin pieces to build ruins on hills or non-flat surfaces.
Finally, I love using manufactured buildings and adding details to them using plastic sprue, plastisheet, bitz, and assorted garbage. I also use Dollar Store buildings with heavy modification. You'll get unique pieces that look great and they're fun to convert as well.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Hi!
Maksim, have you ever made a picture library f all your scenery? I think it would be very cool to make one where everyone could showcase their terrain.

Primarch,
No, I have never made a scenery gallery. It's a good idea.
I do have an idea to make a 6mm Consumer's Guide site that would try to catalogue some of the many 6mm models out there.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.
