How many of you Epic-heads out there have bough some Tau from Forgeworld? Are you happy with it? Would you buy more? What did you buy?
I'm just considering getting some when I get some money. I fancy some tanks.
Also how many of you have painted Tau? And how many of you have a Manta? How many of you crazy people have MORE than one manta?
Thats enough questions for one post. I think I'll leave it here.
Cheers
Chris

I have all the F/W Tau & Kroot including the Manta. ?Very nice stuff, I have however, still not painted and assembled them. ?I'm still working on my other Epic Armies !!! ? I'm waiting until G/W releases their metal Tau many "moons" from now, and will make a combined force. ?With collecting all the Epic Armies and having a predilection for making some of my own terrain sets, I never have a shortage of Epic projects.

I amy get some tau when they start making stuff for them. As far as I am concerned, there isn't enough stuff available to make it worthwhile for me.

One of the guys in my group bought Tau. The tanks look great. The Kroot have very thin legs and he broke a couple just glueing them onto the bases. Other then that they are nice. For me, too costly.

Hi,
I wouldnt say I was a crazy head or an epic head but I do have Tau models and (by mistake mind you) I do have more than one Manta, I had written a review of it and painted it up on TS's site a while back. Since then I have been doing other stuff but based on the colour scheme I used for the Manta I have nearly painted up all the flyers I had bought and will be written up something for that soon.
Havent started the troops or carriers yet but in answer to your question about being happy I would say yes I am, however it is aimed at collectors and thats why they charge what they do. Saying that, the quality of what I got for my money didnt disappoint.
It would be nice to see what they look like in metal if that ever happens.

I have a few pieces. However my "army" never seems to get larger than a couple of squads before I need to sell them for the ??'s But each time I sell a set I replace the models so I always have a small collection of them. They certainly are gorgeous models and whilst I'd never buy a complete army, they are my favourite display pieces in the scale. If you're more of a "gamer", then they're not for you but if you're more of a "Hobbyist" (ie collector/painter/modeller) then they are superb pieces to add to a display collection.

Hi!
There's no question that they are more a "collectable" than peices you can buy "en masse" for an army. While beautiful, they better walk and talk too for those prices....

A Epic Valkyrie would be sweet, and I would get some.
As for other Imperial Tanks - I wouldn't be suprised if they did the Atlas recovery tank in Epic scale. Maybe another Leman Russ as well
Cheers
Chris
