Well with the girlie watching rubbish programmes on television last night, I took the opportunity to do the first epic conversions. They're simple and basic, but I'm proud of them as they are my first ones. I have converted some Ork bikers to represent Warbosses on bikes. One is armed with a chainsword with a banner waving from the back of the bike, and the other is the same, but armed with a powerfist. I have also done a boarboy standard bearer, and converted a Nob to look different. I know, nothing spectacular yet. But I feel more proud of these conversions than my larger scale ones. Wierd ![]() What it has done, is given me the bug to alter as many things as possible. Its just a shame most will never be seen. If I ever get a digital camera, I'll send 'em in. |

Yeah, I know what you mean. I just started to do some conversions on my terminators. Like you, it is nothing spectacular. But, it just seems so cool to have altered something so small. I showed my wife. She says I am insane. I will post some pics as soon as I can figure out how to get my digital camera to zoom in that close. It says it has a macro feature. But, I can't get it to work. Stupid, cheap sony. I will keep you all posted. Like you, I now have the bug to alter all kinds of troops. Not a good bug to catch at this stage of building my army. ![]() |

A couple of my Ork 40K vehicles have marines stuck to them with spikes, and they only have a skeleton left visible outside from their power armour. I have been thinking of doing the same thing for my epic Orks, and found some epic Necrons that may do the job. I was shocked when I saw them though, mixed in with some Ork infantry I had given me. I did not know Necrons were ever released in this scale. Was it just warriors? How were they fielded? (allies?) (I wasn't sure where to put this) |

>>I did not know Necrons were ever released in this scale. Answer: They wern't, I believe you are thinking of the plastic chaos android models, which are similar to necrons. You can see them here: epicollector (Scroll down and you should see it.) |

Yeah, the lovely Chaos Android also appeared in Space Crusade. I have seen the The 40k scale plastics from SC appearing in several Necron armies now. |

Shadow you could always use a flatbed scanner or a disposable camera (long distance shot I know) and get the images scanned onto cd-rom when you have it developed (this is a much cheaper (and better quality) method then a digicam alternatively buy yourself a decent SLR (which is again can be cheaper than a decent digicam Stormseer said epicollector Link (Scroll down and you should see it.) |

I guess I have two fave ones (can I have two, please, please) Grot Bomb Launcha ![]() Details of how I made the model and Ork Trukk with Krooz Missulz ![]() The model is built using a Flakwagon base, a firing platform from a Pulsa Rokitt and the Krooz Missulz, well it's a 40k scale Fighta-Bommer Missile. |

I'm planning to use my Chaos cultists for Hivegangers on Armageddon. I'm also planning to use some of my Catachans for Hivegangers as well. My favorite conversion isn't one, but two or three that I've done so far for my E-A Ork force: - Ork Bommas - I converted these from BFG Ork Bruteships with scratch-built landing gear, F-B wings and ordinance, a little microarmor aircraft ordinance (bombs) and a mounting post of my own design. (No pictures yet, but local players have seen them and eaten death from them as well!) - Ork Pulsa Rokkitz - I converted these from the original Pulsa Rokkitz with newer Epik-40k tracks. It's a simple, but incredibly good looking conversion. (No pictures yet.) - Ork Stompas - Heavily converted with repositioned limbs / heads and all kinds of 28mm 40k plastic weapons / accessories. I have pictures at the Epic Abode (Tuffskull's old forum). Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak. P.S. I have some SupaStompa and SupaGunz conversions started, but I've been lazy about finishing them so far. I also have a few ultraconverted Battlefortresses waiting for some more attention. |

I dont really have a favourite conversion. I have just started looking at converting Epic stuff, although I try to convert every Gothic vessel I out together. However, one of my latest Epic bits is the lictor: ![]() I got a load of Bug bits from Tuff. They were missing a set of claws, and I was told that the Imperials got to him. So, I thought that it was time that the lictor got revenge. ![]() Sorry that the picture is not so clear. I will post again when I have a coat of paint or two on him. |

Well I had my first failure last night. I cut up a wierd dreadnought looking thing that I got in a bag of Ork stuff. It has pincer claws and ressembles the lost in space robot. ![]() Any way, I tried to make it into a Mega armoured Nob, but it went horribly wrong. I'll wait for more dreads to arrive I think (the metal kind) Jimbo- I dont see myself getting a digital camera anytime soon, so what do you think is the best way to go about getting pics done at this small scale? I dont really want to buy a SLR either. I have access to a flatbed scanner. (I'll pinch my brothers) I wasn't sure of the quality of the pics though. |

You can try to take standard pictures, and scan the negatives. On a good scanner, this actually results in pictures better than an average digital camera. |
