Howdy,
I thought I would post a few pics of my rapidly expanding tyranid swarm. I started playing Epic Armageddon this year after a few local hoodlums twisted my arm. I have a squat and ork army but they were both painted by the aforementioned local hoodlums.

These gaunts are the first epic miniatures I have painted and probably the 10 time I have tried to paint in my life so they are nothing special compared to most of the stuff posted here.

Next on the agenda is the final two termagants needed to make up a brood and some tyranid warriors. A friend is painting the vehicles and titans for me so they will be good. Pics should be up in a couple of days.

Luckily I don't have to worry about going bankrupt trying to finish the army. I bought some from MarkNZ and got some more off the local ebay equivalent so I am sorted. All up it cost about $150 US. There is about five of the old boxes of infantry, 3 titans, and 30 -40 other metal gribbilies. I tried to trade it away but didn't get any takers so I decided to try and make an army out of it. It was all painted a truly horrendous paint scheme with inch deep bright green static grass and a generous dose of house paint. I guess this was why no one wanted them. I stripped them with simple green and a water blaster and despite a few casualties they cleaned up okay. My painting schedule is going to be 3 more blocks infantry. First warriors and gaunts, then stealers and lictors, then gargoyles. I guess this will take a couple of months.

I was pleased people picked up on the retro vibe. I read the original tyranid codex and the hive war supplement for inspiration before I started.

They have come up trumps jesse, compared to the Epic abortion that they were in there former state these look stunning, and its great to see you put a brush to something with out going insane :P

I've been at my army for many years and since getting hooked on Facebook games, It's pretty slowed down much to a crawl.

I've got loads more painted than what I have on my web site, but just wanting to finish it all off before updating my web site.

I absolutely hated painting the Dominatrix, and for some reason have a few. So if you're seriously with this army and dont have one of these beasties, then drop me a PM and I can send one over.
