Occasionally I like to undertake smaller projects for resin duplication that build upon prior releases. The hallmark of these projects is their relative ease of development.

My Necron 2010 control point is an example of this - I already had the main parts laying around, took some lessons I learned on the previous version (i.e. make it 1 piece instead of 3) and added some jazz (i.e. the symbols).

Here are some other small doo-dads I have considered…

New petite crabe de fer heads
A longer petite crabe torso that can still use the petite crabe leg set
A plasma cannon on a Manchurian turret
A heavy bolter hull plug-in for the Manchurian
A cannon hull plug-in for the Manchurian
A plug-in module for the tankette, turning it into an enclosed small APC or ammo carrier

Opinions, commentary?

I like the Tankette plug-in idea, though as it's so small mightn't it be easier just to print a new tankette with the cover already on it?

Yes, but I like plugging things into other things.

Seriously though, the only advantage a plug-in would have is easier resin casting since the mold line wouldn't be visible. So, yes, it might be easier to do as you suggest.

Ah yes, hiding the mould line is useful.

I like these ideas the most. If I had any Manchurians, I would like tho other ideas as well.

I think that the tankette plugin would be....BRILLIANT!!!

I've done so on one or two, with plasticard, but I'd very much prefer this sort of aquatic-mammalian production, over my own fumblings.

I would be keen on the tankette plug in and the longer petite crabbe torso

So, which version? The angular one, which looks cooler, or the boxy one, which actually seems utilitarian?

I like the bottom (angular) one.

Ditto for me. Bottom Angular looks neater.
