I see. So is it basically a good looking mini for space marine mole mortar? Interesting... IUnboxing some sprues has lead me to decided that one of my first projects will be a legion of inquisitorial dreadnoughts and the completion of my elysian drop troops w/bikes and sentinel legion. What are these worth?

The Eldar Dreadnoughts? For a trade or selling not much since there are some nice metal models around |

I would quite like to see some up-to-date Eldar dreadnought design though, but sadly I doubt Grandma Wendy has anything in store for us on that front. |

Yes it an SM1/AT vintage Marine Mortar. In this pic of some of my SMs, you can see 2 detachments of them ... along with the same vintage Thud Gun, Rapier and Taratula ... ![]() ![]() |

Was it not intended to kill Mole-Men? |

I thought they were made by moles? By the million on the cheap in special underground sweat-hills? A underground mortar is a little silly, but then a lot in W40k kina is. At least the updated background in the FW Vraksian books (where it sees use in an underground tunnel war) has the rounds using powerfields to cut through the earth rather than mechanics. Yes, the round would bore underground and explode under the target ... ![]() ![]() |

Well, the imperial tunnelers and such were in the similar fashion. Even imagining a beast as large as a trygon digging fast enough for this ability to be of any use outside of a siege is quite crazy. But I always thought Wh40K was probably the universe where such stuff would be the most acceptable. I mean, what about genetically engineered fanatic monks warrior wielding giant chainsaws and man portable repeating rocket launcher, encased in an armor including its own fusion reactor ? |

these rhino tank destroyer were called "sabre", IIRC. I remember an article in WD by Tony Cotrell explaining how to build those in wh40K. I'm not even sure he was officially working for Grandma Wendy at that time. |
