Erm... I wish this was a how to, but note the "?" after the topic. I'm trying to make an assault cannon for my epic terminator, the one in new version of Space Hulk. I'm reluctant to use the cannon off a Sentinel. Also tried using .64mm rods with no success. Anyone made one before and what size materials did you use? |

Well you're either very rich to own a Matter Printer, or lucky to have access to one. Unfortunately I'm neither. So any other ideas? |

It is also expensive. Maybe. The costs are: Software (Blender is free, MoI is $200, others are more expensive) 3D print costs (www.printapart.com, $10 per cubic centimeter, plus shipping) Molding and casting ($90 beginner's kit from micromark http://www.micromark.com/COMPLETE-RESIN ... ,8174.html) |

7 peices of .030" Plastic rod, one slightly longer. Haven't actually tried, but the scale should work out, and at less than $2.50 each. |

The old plastic dreadnought weapon also works really well |

If you don't have any thin enough then stretch some thinner rod out stretched-sprue style. My other suggestion would be to make yourself a mini extrusion plate. use a fine pin vice drill bit to drill 7 holes though a bit of plasticard, then force greenstuff/milliput/ProCreate etc though it to get yourself a long sausage of autocannon barrle, let it dry then cut to lenght |

I used some of the aerial parts from Gothic ships. They came out OK. |
