Now that the forums are much friendlier to 101 type posts, I thought I'd throw this out. ;) I had it posted on The Waaagh awhile back & it might prove useful to a few folks here.

Step 1: Basically, you start off with a bit of thin copper wire and wrap it around the pointy end of a sculpting tool or something similar in diameter to form a nice circular loop.

Step 2: Slide the wire off, take a bit of plastic screen, & cut out one of the X sections. These will be your crosshairs.

Step 3: Using tweezers, patience, & luck slide the X section of screen in between the wire loop. You may need to slide a razor between the loop to open it more to get the screen in. Once you get the X in place, push the loop together so it traps the bit of screen & hit it with some CA to hold it in place.

Step 4: Clip off the long wire ends, leaving about 1-2mm of wire on the ends of the sight, and use CA to tack it onto your model as you see fit.

I wouldn't recommend trying this after you have had any coffe/tea... ;D

Here's a shot of the finished result on one of my Flakwagonz. The gunner behind it might give you an idea of scale.

Tug on!

Outstanding walkthrough & conversion MoK. 8)

Your LatD still parked at Warhammer World? I'd like to think they have a permanent Epic section, but that might be expecting a bit much.

No, not still at Warhammer World unfortunately...but they do have a plan to have a once yearly EpicUK display: there's so much good work going on on these forums however that maybe they should seek further!
