The Nightspinner is very nice, although it feel like the hull should extend a bit further back to look more balanced.
I tend to agree regarding the fireprism. I quite like the turret by itself, but the tank looks unbalanced. A bit like those awfull E40k Cobras. If the hull was wider and longer it would be cool.

If someone were to acidentally print these turrets in 6mm scale I wouldn't mind replacing my Nightspinner and Fireprisms though ;)

Both need a Type II makeover in the upper rear hull, IMO. Just not sure I can justify 14GBP to not use half the bits...

The Night Spinner looks like a "direct fire" weapon rather than Eldar artillery now; the actual weapons don't appear to have any way to elevate for indirect fire.

Not too keen on the Fire Prism.

I do not like both of them. The Prism looks....ill...wrong...
And the Night Spinners weapons far too small and not enough like an artillery tank...I have to buy some old models fast...

This is what happens when you try to combine two kits into one when the weapons loadouts are fundamentally different. They tried to conserve plastic with a single turret body to attach either system to and it just makes both look stupid.

I reckon they still could have done it though - if they were to mount the weapons at the shoulder of the turret rather than the nose. While I quite like the old shape falcon body, it has been around for, what, 10+ years now? It could have done with an update along with the turret.

Worst bit is someone had approval of this, and they made a conscious decision to give it the go ahead. :(

In defense of the Fireprism I have to say that the gun looks alot more weapon-like now. I was never a huge fan of the old design (right from the E40k fireprism that predates the 40k scale one). It just seems a bit wonky to have so many of the working bits (emitter etc.) placed outside the protection of the turret itself. Although the pic above only shows a single angle, at a glance it does seem a bit more tank-like to me. If I were into 40k I'd probably extend the hull a bit and add some stabilizer fins to the sides of the body - similar to the small extra fins on the Epic scale Super heavies. The problem isn't so much the turrets themselves as the body they sit on.
I'd still prefer this turret at Epic scale to the current Epic fireprism turret. ...and quite frankly the same goes for the nightspinner: Having those tow huge arms mounted like that was never a particular elegant solution IMO. The web spinner could be mounted on a ball socket and doesn't necessarily have any recoil as far as we know, so I disagree with the notion that it doesn't appear to have artillery capabilities.

I don't really like them much myself, for the reasons others have listed. Also, the extra hull extension pieces tend to upset the lines of the tank by just extending straight back (and not looking like they fit very well either). They seem like a poorly considered afterthought.

Based on the layout they chose for the turret, I'm surprised they didn't go ahead on include parts for a firestorm as well.

I am going to have to go against the tide here. I actually like the Fire Prism, although I dont know how it will chain link the fire from other vehicles. I dont like the NightSpinner so much, as the guns dont seem that they would be able to project the web well enough... they are just a little, unimpressive.

The Night Spinner looks great, but the Fire Prism? Just a tad shite in my opinion.

Though they are both top heavy.. I like the Fire Prism, it looks far less clunky and far more Eldar than the current one... however the Night Spinner looks pathetic.. it can't get the angle to fire indirectly and they are tiny guns.. compare it to the forgeworld version
