This is my first painting blog. Maybe it will keep me motivated to paint as I am a notoriously lazy painter!

The first is a few test minis just to see if I like painting the chapter and to get used to painting again. It's been quite a while since I put paint to anything. I decided to paint up a couple of tanks and a Land Speeder for variety.

I'm new to taking photos of my minis(in fact this is the first photo I've ever posted of my stuff   )so the camera work will not be spectacular.

Hope you like them:

He's is not wrong. Very nice stuff Malakai. I love the weathering and the bases... wish I could be that lazy.

Lovely work Malakai.

I too have painted many thousands of points of Black Templars (and I recently started adding more details to them). Yours look fantastic. You've done an excellent job on the crosses. In the end, I'm going to cheat and use some transfers   .

Really looking to seeing this continue.

Steve.

I wish I could paint crosses that neatly! My freehand is atrocious. I have to use decals whenever I can.

It's not freehand they're decals. My freehand stinks! Just look at the shoulder insignia on the Land Speeder crew. I could barely paint a cross in and I think that me took several attempts. :sigh:

Nope I bought them from Ginfritter's Gnomish Workshop. When I was trying to decide on what chapter to do I considered my sucky freehand and had a look through my decal collection. I had picked those up but never got around to using them. The decals were insanely small so perfect Epic scale. Because of their size they're not the easiest decals in the world to work with, but they're easier than freehanding all of that stuff!
