Now that the forums are much friendlier to 101 type posts, I thought I'd throw this out.

I had it posted on The Waaagh awhile back & it might prove useful to a few folks here.
Step 1: Basically, you start off with a bit of thin copper wire and wrap it around the pointy end of a sculpting tool or something similar in diameter to form a nice circular loop.

Step 2: Slide the wire off, take a bit of plastic screen, & cut out one of the X sections. These will be your crosshairs.

Step 3: Using tweezers, patience, & luck slide the X section of screen in between the wire loop. You may need to slide a razor between the loop to open it more to get the screen in. Once you get the X in place, push the loop together so it traps the bit of screen & hit it with some CA to hold it in place.

Step 4: Clip off the long wire ends, leaving about 1-2mm of wire on the ends of the sight, and use CA to tack it onto your model as you see fit.
I wouldn't recommend trying this after you have had any coffe/tea...
