Hi all,
as explained elsewhere I've finally managed to locate another epic player - no, two! - in Malta.
I might be getting a game soon, so I have to prepare a tiny 2000 point army soon. This will be based on Netepic Gold rules, and I've ended up choosing Chaos.

My first detachment will be one with as few, easily painted models as possible: ten Land Raiders. I always (i.e. since Epic Space Marine) loved the Land Raider detachment, so my first choice will be this.

My army will be a Thousand Sons army, and they'll have the pre-Heresy scheme of red with some white touches (sorry L-4!   ). They'll have some purely Tzeentchian fiends, and they'll be starting to change over to their more familiar chaotic look - and in fact I'll probably go to the other end of the spectrum and add some automatons (i.e. Thousand Sons automata), even though they theoretically should not exist at the same time! My reasoning is that with Tzeentch, anything is possible.

On the bench: a paint-test Land Raider (I chose plastic or metal old school LRs for the pre-Heresy look) and the detachment command LR, complete with the first touch of Chaos, a pair of tusks. The command LR and the first squadron will be plastic, the other 6 metal. They'll be supported by Whirlwinds and - well, we'll see. Yes, no points for army selection, but I need to paint FAST!

Whirlwinds are nice and fluffy but not so much on the effectiveness stakes.  If you're going with Automatons take a full 1000 Sons century and let their warp vortex be your artillery  :)

Look forward to seeing these guys take shape.
