are there any suitable Valkyrie substitutes?
I've checked on Exodus wars for their Valkyrie and mkII patrol but I feel they're more suitable to be used as Vultures?

so any help would be appreciated
thanks

Grim

Brigade Models' Hestia Attack VTOL is a good candidate. Otherwise, I'd wait for the EW Valkyrie transport to make it to their shop.

I've used Reaper CAV Lynx APC's as proxies for my Valkyries.

That said, I think I'd prefer to go for the Exodus Wars stuff if I was building my army now (they are beautiful models).

Thanks!

Now that you mention it L4, I remember that I painted some of these for a mate to use as his Valkyries.

Do they come with both types of rotor? I'd be (more) interested if I didn't have to use that stupid ring rotor...

In addition to the ones Onyx used the Fenri from Reaper's CAV line is also quite nice

And you can get them in "true scale" as well which would put them closer to the FW minis than the Specialist Games ones.

You get 2 Choppers per pack, and IIRC, one of each type rotor.  I plan on using the ring rotor for the Gunship and the blade for the Cargo ...  :flyboy:
