Has anyone tried using the 40k Ravener as an Epic Trygon? I do not have the 40k Ravener, so I am not sure if it is too big. In theory it looks very similar. |

They're generally considered a bit too large. On the other hand they do look a lot nicer than the original Epic trygon model, so if you don't mind the extra size it is a nice and easily available proxy. |

Hm, I recently saw the new 40k Raveners and my gut feeling is that they are way too large for this use. They could easily represent a bio titan though. |

They're plastic now so just get cuttin' and gluin' Simples. I actually have used termagaunts as all manner of tank-sized bio beasties. D. |

They're about reaver titan size; much too big for DC 2 |

I looked into this as well. I think you should look at them as Bio-Titan equivalents. In that case, they fit in pretty well, especially if you want to run with a "tunneler" theme. |

technically, they would be 5x smaller than the 40k trygon model wouldn't they? |

Wh40k Raveners are roughly 50% to big for Epic Trygons. The Epic40k era Harridan's body has the right size for a "true-scale"* Epic Trygon. *thats a 5 times smaller Wh40k model |

a reasonable trygon can be made from gaunt and ravener bodies stuck together with a few extra arms added and a greenstuff tail extension, WMN had a good one up awhile ago, i'll try to find the pics of mine. |

I've got the old metal Trygons and some of my own Hormagaunt/Sausage Hybrids and both are probably slightly too big but the Tyranid army is out of scale anyway. The 40k Ravener is somewhere around Reaver Titan size which puts it around Hierophant/Hydraphant equivalent and there is a Reaver sized Trygon that appears in Hive Fleet Jormungandr. |

I have a quick 'n' dirty gaunt-to-trygon conversion guide here, meself. I have the beginnings of a more in-depth one too, that I should get back to one of these years. |

Hey that's cool Vermis, but I wonder if it would look more to scale, with the use of a Ripper's head, instead of the Gaunt's? |
