Chaos, disease, carnage...and now for some eldar :D

test vehicle for planned eldar colour scheme

Think the purple is too much? im considering darkening it down a bit. The cockpit canopy should pop more once the black has gloss varnish. Not sure on how to base them, im considering snow.

I also need help with these...

Since these are not SM era and not current SG i assume they are E:40k? im sure i saw some info on these 'geometric' eldar on tac-com a while ago, if anyone could give me more info on them that'd be great. Interesting models but they dont really fit my painting plan :-\

Yes those ate E40k era vehicles. From left to right: Scorpion, Cobra, Wraithlord, Scorpion.

The eldar vehicle test is lovely. Really pops out at you. I was considering a similar scheme for my Eldar/Dark Eldar by using a dark colour scheme I can use the same models in both lists.

Scheme looks neat. The cockpit sort of dissapears in the purple though, so it might be worth considering a bright color just to get a bit more contrast into the model.

I like metalics on Eldar cockpits as it looks like expensive sunglasses.

Bit of revenant WIP, i had planned to make 6 of these today but as you can see due to distraction i have about half of one (still need to do the guns, launchers, arms, 1 foot, tidy it all up etc)

coming late to the party here, but I think you've overdone the glow effect in your test vehicle. I find that your eye is drawn to the edges of the vehicle rather than the center where most of the detail is and it takes away from the gemstones and turret weapon glow effect. I think it might work better is you started with a brighter base for the purple and worked it up more and faded the glow closer to the edges of the wings.

That Revenant is hot! Man, if only I had the patience to learn how to properly GS... The Plasticard work is top notch, too.

It's amazing what the Guardian kit is useful for. I've got some 40k Wraithguard made from it, the WG head Bitz, and Reaper Launchers.

Awesome work, Can't wait to see 6 uniquely posed revenants. It makes me seriously consider trying this myself but I guess it's a fairly tricky conversion, it certainly looks it anyway.

Looking forward to the final result.

Its actually very simple, definitely worth a go. The body+legs is pretty much basic guardian with some details shaved off and some small shield shapes cut form plastic glued on. the back fin again is just cut from 1mm flat styrene and the feet are carved out of sprue. The only real difficulty is bending the shoulder pads neatly, which in the end required the judicious use of a hair dryer and point blank range... o and the 2nd hand guardians im using had been a *bit* over-glued which slowed things down.

I think ill go back to the guns using milliput so i can sand a nice smooth taper onto them. Looking at the pictures i also think the eye slits should be higher up.

thanks for the feedback Vaaish, not too late at all as ive yet to even undercoat the rest of the army so plenty of time for me to consider changes :)

Any chance of a sort of guide or more WIP pics when you come to do the other 5 then?

Haven't had much time for epic recently, aside from the fortress, but i finaly did some painting this evening, pink and blue horrors of Tzeen (got the idea of using plague bearers from Epic Fr and just took it a bit further)
