You sir, are a trip.

Amazing and bizarre, but brilliant!

Great theme and proof you can never have too many zombies.

I like the "zombie carpet" for moving the bellows.  For the chain pullers you could do teams of zombies lined up tug o' war style or bigger mutant types.  Lots of options.

Wow!

That is just way too awesome.

Thanks for the replies.
@ BL, yep wheels are an interesting idea, i can see how id make them and they would be easy to add at the end. Im not sure how it would fit with the rest of the army, but since i don't have a large enough drill bit to make so soul-sea base currently anyway ill keep it in mind.

This PiP pic shows some of the detail on the greenstuff better than the previous pics, particularly the pattern of interlocking rings on the barrel.

Couldn't find enough small chain in the end so i used string...The skin of the bellows is tissue, which looked great unpainted but hasn't dry brushed well.

*Edit: the eyes are black as these are the air intake

Ive been thinking about the forge master greater daemon, a few ideas:
More than2 arms?
lame? if so carried into battle on a palanquin by a sea/carpet of souls? wings?
armed with hammer(s) or actually with a hammer for a hand?

Something like WFB bloodletter champion head, beastman gor body, 4 bloodletter arms, gargoyle wings?  :oo:

Very cool
Wheels is an option but if at all possible I'd stick to the original idea. It is not exactly inexpensive in terms of zombies, but it would look absolutely fantastic! The more crowded the better IMO, so I'd probably clip off the front and the back end of the zombie bases and stick them to a base close together in a sort of brick pattern (if that makes any sense).

If i do the sea/carpet of zombies i will drill out a custom base for the bellows that has a rabble/dense crowd mass of zombies, rather than using actual epic bases.

Oh I didn't mean using Epic bases. I meant cutting off parts of the little disc on the base of each zombie, so instead of a circular base you get a small rectangle. That way you can place the zombies much more densely for that "carpet" feel. You wouldn't really have to drill out a base either. Just use a large piece of plasticard and glue the zombies right onto it. Add some sides to the base that match the height of the zombie bases and fill any remaining gaps with filler. because the base of each Zombie is now rectangular very little filling would be needed, most of it probably easily covered by sand or flock.

Billing Boats have some of the smallest chains, I've ever seen. Don't know if they are small enough to fit your purpose though?!

BF-0327

Nice stuff btw. Like the non-GW take on chaos "engines".

Very nicely done! You continue to impress :agree:

Re: fine chain, if you want some you can get 1mm diameter chain from Squires Model and Craft Tools. That's the finest I've found so far, but thin string/cotton can be much finer and may be better for what you're doing anyway. Thin twisted stands of wire can be an option too.

I'd actually be tempted to stick with them as Hellfire cannon proxies myself, they'd be a little bigger than the norm but there's no model size rules in epic and it would make very little to gameplay.

Thanks for the chain-based feedback, i had been looking at jewelry stores without much luck but it seems model ship/galleon fixings is the way to go. I think i just managed to order some 0.5mm link chain...although the site did not specify what the 0.5mm refered to so it may have been the wire diameter. Still the other store i found that had 0.9mm link chain had a £4.60 miniumum order and the chain was £4.55...unbelievable

2 more packs of DRM skyth arrived today to man the bellows and the spares will be based up as mutants/cultists once the eagerly awaited 100 bases arrive  :)
