this is some amazing stuff, especially the conversions. I would love to get into 6mm sculpting.

Hoping to get some good hobby time in over the holidays, but there are so many project choices to make … i think i might deviate from the black templars (as i have a functional marine army anyway) to work on an army i bought on these forums last month. But, just incase i get distracted again, ill start with sharable/common elements.

so anyway … got some hobby time in the last couple of days for the first time in months. Nothing finished but this is what ive been working away at slooowly, having bought Kyuss' SG guard airborne end of last year.

The army will have elements from three regiments. This lot are in theory catatchan, but looking rather Cadian atm. Then not pictured will be formations of armageddon ork hunters and elysians.

I converted 5 vendettas using razorback twin laz turrets to give me a full formation … then Kyrt pointed out it's a 1 per formation swap :gah

Ive had 2 games with the EUK Vannnaheim list using them and lost both horrendously! 2+ init armies make me very very grumpy

uh yeah, 2, i knew that, was just, er, testing you all :-[

another reason i lost enthusiasm for the army at one point was my purchase of 200 small palm trees from chinese ebay to do the bases, only to find they were all too large on arrival. So my currently aim is to paint all the vehicles in the army, do no basing, and no infantry ;)

moving on from the too-big chinese palm trees, i did a test base for a new solution this weekend.
To test materials, the trunks here are a mix of wire guitar strings, picture wire and steel rod – going forward ill use picture wire. Need some tufts and flock etc to add more detail to the floor, but overall this is the direction ill be going now.

Also had a play about with my most recent Vanguard miniatures DiD purchase, as there's currently an ordinatus shaped gap in my chaos collection. Conversion in progress …
