Trying to remodel some Terminators... Space Hulk Style. So does the weapon on this look too big? ![]() |

Probably a bit on the large side yes. Unfortunately this tends to happen: The scratch built sniper rifles on my Dark Angels scouts are absolutely huge! |

Nice work, but yeah it's a bit too big, IMO. |

Yes it is large, but it it very 'heroic'. It all depends what you want - realism or big guns. Go for it I says ![]() |

Has GW ever been concerned about weapons that are too big? |

Yeah, I thought it was too big too, but the issue I have is having something to use as the barrel (old epic flag poles) which pretty much dictated the rest of the weapon. Luckily its easy to change the weapon out for another... just need to find appropriate material for the barrel and everything should fall in place. Oh well, think I'll park this one for a while and work on the rest of the Space Hulk squad. |

You can buy circular plastic rod (or other shapes) in very many sizes, starting from 0.25mm and going up in very very tiny increments, so you should be able to get pretty much exactly the sizes you need no trouble. See Squires Model and Craft Tools for one good online store selling such things. It is a really cool conversion, but definitely over-sized at the moment. |

Version 2, it's like only 1.5 mm shorter, but I think it looks better. What do people think? ![]() ![]() |

I really like the large gun the scale of the first one looks really cool although I think that the second trial is a better quality build (It looks really amazing!). I would love to see a unit of these guys on the battlefield! |

Fantastic work, both versions. However, I think the second version came out better. Looking forward to the rest of the detachment. /Fredmans |

I too think that the second one is much better and more in scale than the first one. Keep it up ![]() |
