So Dark Angels need 2 attack bikes for every 4 stands of bikes. Unfortunately a blister of bikes gives me 1 attack bike per 4 stands. After some intensive math, I predicted that no matter how many blisters I buy, I will always have too many normal bikes and not enough attack bikes. Solution, I need to either procure more attack bikes somewhere on their own, or convert attack bikes from what I have. I've got a huge bunch of the old, plastic space marine bikes (pics available on demand) and several extras of the normal bikes. Before I descend into madness, hobby knife in one hand, glue in the other, any suggestions? How do other DA players get more attack bikes? Any pics of conversions anyone has made? Anywhere I can buy attack bikes on their own? If I just keep buying blisters of SG bikes, will the numbers eventually line up? |

An easy conversion conversion to create the side car: old plastic sentinel body + 1 wheel. Rendering is nice when glued on an old plastic marine bike. Other solution: search Epic:40K era attack bikes blisters on ebay or somewhere else, they contain 4 attack bikes (with various weapons) with the same pattern (or very close) than E:A ones. |

Here is my conversion. I did it on an old bike, but it would work for a new one also. ![]() |

Hey fattdex, thanks for the offer, lemme check out the conversion angle first though. Those conversions by silentbob look pretty cool. Hey Silentbob, any chance of some more detailed photos, that's pretty much exactly what I'm looking for. Could I bother you for a description of what you did? |

It was a fairly easy conversion. I started out with an L shaped piece of plasticard. This would be the seat. Next, I took the SM sgt and removed his legs and arms. I glued him to the L. I then created the Heavy Bolter using some regular plasticard and some thin round for the barrel. Just cut out so it looks like a normal HB. Make sure you add the ammo case and the ejector port. When making it, also incorporate the swivel mount into the gun itself. It needs to stand above the marines legs. Sculpt the SM legs and feet with GS. Leave a slot between the legs for the HB. Once dry, glue the HB in place. From there, I created the SM's arms out of thin plasticard rod and his hands out of GS. Finally, I used a piece of round sprue for the wheel and GS'd a fender on it. I kept things more rounded because I wanted it to fit with the bikes style. If I had a new one, it would have been more squared. ![]() ![]() |
