Tried some Greenstuff Molding ... To get my E:A Land Raiders into the correct configuration ... Only an idiot (or someone at G/W ! ) would put the main weapon in a position where they block the Troop Doors ... This is what a properly configured L/Rdr looks like ...

works pretty well there L4. I think the land raider originally had them back there under because they look better aesthetically and the primary exit point for assaulting out of the raider is in the center of the main hull. Personally I avoid the whole issue by using the old plastic e40k ones.
