I started making these almost two years ago, but just lack of enthusiasm and too much distraction. I've completed two bases of these, but base coated the other before I remembered to take some pictures.

The wings are made from wire and super-glued together to make the skeleton structure. And lot of pain trying to keep the wings thin enough without it being too bulky. I think the hardest part was gluing the wings to the tyranid body.

I used the Tyranid with guns as for 5 of these, but then decided to try and use the one with the sword, hence the quick attempt at the deathspitter. Bit rushed unfortunately, but still a lot of lack of enthusiasm.

Great conversions! :agree:

The difference in positioning of the wings really adds life to the stand.

Did you consider using thin p-rod instead of wire?  I've found it to be less fragile initially for that type of work and you can use heat to shape it.

Beautiful conversions, but to be honest, I'd be scared to death to take them anywhere.

If they should fall into, uh, something flexible, so that their descendants could be, er, enhanced with minerals, that would certainly be better. But I'd still be concerned about attaching them to the host body.

Still brilliant looking models.
