Nello all,

its been a while since ive posted on the forum, but since reading the HH books from the black library ive renewed my interest in all things epic......

anyway, im after a favour, ive painted up a small force of Emperors Children, all i need is a suitable flag or banner.  ive searched the net etc but no luck.  im thinking if anyone knows where to find one then you lot will

basicly i want something i can print off and stick to a banner pole.......or ill have to paint one, infact even the eye of horus will be good.

Pics will be posted tomorrow.

Thanks for the help frogbear, interesting site, cheers.

In the end i painted an Emperors Children banner, and googled "eye of Horus"....found thousands of images, so i printed one off.

Anyway, why early Heresy?.....Well with the soon to be released FFG horus heresy game, and reading the books from the Black library (especially Fulgrim) its inspired me to paint up a load of old bits and pieces ive had laying around for years.

The force ive made is for Future War Commander (1000pts), however, ill be gaming with my 10 year old son so ive come up with a set of simple rules of my own.  For now.

Enough waffle...

hello again..



The assault Dreadnoughts....i lost the arms so i bolted on side sponsons from epic2 era predators...oh and made the lightning claws out of plasticard.



The Devastator stand.  I used up the old tarantula gun that ive had for ages. i think its very heresy/1st ed epic like.



The assault troops, i like these models alot, although they are old minis now, i think they look the business.

So, the whole force took a few hours to put together and a full evening to paint.  I cheated with the painting, i applied base colours then dipped em in armypainter strong tone dip...hence the glossyness.

bases finished this morning.

Cheers for looking......next up the Imperial fists to take them on...

Nice work & the colors leave no question as to what force the models represent.

I like the post-dip glossiness for EC units, especially the infantry.

Have you thought about including a few select models from the Chaos sprue like Noise Marines?  From Fulgrim they were present pretty early on in the Heresy and could be a characterful addition.

Yep, they were, but im just using up all the rest of my old epic minis, i have no plans to buy anything from GW.  now if they released some new epic marine sculpts i could be persuaded....lol
