Well ive got all these shiny models but not as much time as id like, so I plan to get the foundations of two armies done speedily. For the krieg I plan to use foundation paints with army painter grey spray paint for fast cammo patterns, laying down a foundation, covering it in some blobs of blu-tac and then spraying grey. Here are some BlackLegion style test rhinos, im thinking the first one with more grey? ![]() And the first slice of necrons ready for undercoating. Still need to claw and base some flayed ones, destroyers will be press moulded and hopefully some more monoliths will phase in soon. Colour scheme will probably be standard GW necrons, maybe with red instead of green? ![]() |

On the left Rhino i can hardly see the brown(?) stripes. The middle one looks thebest outof those three. |

The middle Rhino IMO. If you wanted to add some easy darker color camo to that, maybe some small dot clusters. Red Necrons sounds cool. I've seen some 40k scale ones done with red glowing bits and they looked great. ![]() |

Far right Rhino, imho. Its 6mm scale and they will be viewed from 3 feet away most of the time. I'm like old, and can't see too well these days... ![]() |

Probably the middle one for these closeups. I am however not a big fan of using different shades or very similar color camo at 6mm. Trouble is that I find that the camo effect works a bit too well, obscuring the overall shape and detail of the mini once you start to add shading and highlights. Personally I prefer to use more contrasting colors from a visual standpoint even though it may not be as sensible camo from a realistic point of view) Whatever you work on I am looking very much forward to seeing the progress. ...But for obvious reasons the Ed...er Necrons are a personal favourite ![]() |

Yes, never do proper camouflage! Take it from me you can overlook mk1 warlords in cities with a camo job meant to hide it from satellites! The idea of camo in 6mm is to a) look good and b) highlight where the model is, unless you are playing wheres wally in 6mm! |

I may have been out of the loop for too long but... where did those "zombie robots" come from?! O_o I was unaware that anyone made zombie robots. |

Quote: I may have been out of the loop for too long but... where did those "zombie robots" come from?! O_o I was unaware that anyone made zombie robots. They were sculpted about a year or so ago, they appear to have changed hands a couple of times as no one was ballsy enough to release not-necrons. It appears that netepic has the balls now. you can find them at http://www.exoduswars.com/ in the edenite range. |

I agree, IMHO option 2(Chainmail) is the best. BTW, those fantasy skeletons have very fun faces, great work!! |

Jep 2 looks best. But 4 is also good. Looks more ancient but do Necrons tarnish? |
