In my never-ending quest to reduce all conflicts to my favorite scale models, I've been collecting ideas for WWWII. There's not tons of stuff out there, but there are some good options:
1.
GHQ Wehrmacht '47 - for "standard" units - tanks, personnel carriers, and infantry. Plans are to release conjectural Allied equipment as well over the next few months.
2.
Majic Miniatures - currently have a large German walker, the
Mineraumpanzer, a couple other interesting vehicles, German UFOs, aliens, werewolves, and vampires. No zombies; plans for more walkers to be released in the future.
3.
Raiden Miniatures - their '46 series aircraft.
4.
DP9 have a few aircraft as well, from their defunct Luftkrieg game. They also have free paper stand-ups of their 15mm walkers, which could be used as templates for scratch-building (or rescaled and used as they are - if you're into
almost-3d gaming).
5.
Adler Dark Star - the walkers from this range would be good basic hulls for conversions.
6.
GZG - their humanoid walkers (especially the Fat Boy and Sturmkampfer) would work well; the Kravak infantry, painted the right way, would make nice armored troopers.
7. Exodus Wars - their
Guild Assault Centuria would work as jump-pack troopers, as long as you don't mind the helmets being decidedly non-WWII. A bit o' green stuff could fix that.
8.
Minifigs N-scale vehicles can be a good start for converting some Russian monster tanks, especially the T-35.
For those wanting zombies, painting some 6mm infantry (using
Navwar figures, as they're a bit beefier and less defined than GHQ) with different flesh colors and some red /flesh markings on the uniforms might suffice. They and ÂÂ
Scotia also make a selection of WWII vehicles that would serve well as the basis for conversions.
If anyone else has some suggestions I haven't thought of, please pipe up!
