Does anyone use a Vektor Knight Proxy or a Stealthbattlesuit Proxy

maybe some mechs from Battletech

The Vectors got removed from the Tau list.  Check the latest army list in the WikiWikiWar site above ( File Galleries -> NetEpic Army lists ).

I thought about using one of the plastic stealth suits when considering it way back when.

I know but I want them after all
Why got they removed?

It was my thought too, to use a WH40K figures
but it`s difficult because you have to represent different weaponary

I don't know as I never played them but I heard from a friend of a friend it was because they were too much fun.  

Yeah, I got some Battlemech stuff off eBay for my Tau and thinking they would be fine as proxies. Then they vanished. Very amusing.

Zap do you use some Battletech stuff for your slann army?
maybe they will fit for tau aswell?


I like the idea of the Vektor Knights
so I will use them at "home"

Almost all my Slann stuff is Mechwarrior CMG stuff, with a few GZG Stargrunt minis in there as well.  Some of the really tiny Mechwarrior mechs could possibly be used as Vector proxies, and have the advantage of being really, really cheap  . The GZG stuff could be used...check out their 25mm Stargrunt power armour...I think this one is a NSL version IIRC.

You could also look at Iron Wind's nice metal Battletech stuff...should be plenty of suitable options there!

I looked through the Mechwarroior stuff but it is really hard to decide which model to use

EDIT:
How big are the CMG Battlemechs I can`t find a size comparsion?
some cost about 2-3 euros some 12-20
are the more expensive ones bigger?
are they already painted?

there are a lot of nice models for tau, slann and mybe squats

Here's a comparison with a Reaver:




The Atlas is one of the biggest CMG mechs, and the Vulture is probably upper-mid.  Some are as small as a Warhound, though they aren't that common.  Price is more a factor of rarity than size, and yes, they come pre-painted.  Some small ones = Solitaire, Osiris, Phoenix Hawk (probably what I'd use), Morrigan, Hellion, Koshi...

I´am still serching for Tau proxies

Does anyone use CAV reaper miniatures for his Epic stuff?
Can someone post a pic from a CAV Mech for size comparsion?

I´ve seen a CAV flyer model that would fit well for size
I think onyx use them too for his IG right?
