I liberally placed the Gryphonne Sepia Citadel Wash onto the models with a ragged drybrush (size 3) and took off any excess build ups with a combination of a dry brush and a wet brush. At this point (after it dried) I would think that these are perfectly acceptable to leave as is for main armour and just paint the guns, and your done. If you wanted a quick Imperial Fists Force, then this is a quick way and it does not look too bad with that rich yellow that you get from the wash after it dries.
I decided to break out the Sunburst yellow again and provide some quick stripes to upraised areas as detailed in the photos below.
I have attempted to also give the tactical marines green eyes (size 10/0 brush) with some average results. This is not an issue however as I still have to give a final highlight to these areas with a yellow/white mix so I will be able to white-line the areas around the eyes and clean up the blots. Hopefully I will get onto this and the weapons tomorrow.
Note: The camera appears to make the yellow alot lighter than what it is on the mini. They do have a richer tone which I hope to bring out in possibly another wash at a later time

For the detailing, I am looking into making my own transfers/decals for the shoulder pads. I am not confident in free-handing the designs at this moment. Should be interesting to see how the time that will be placed into this will justify the end result.
I will look at the minis again in the daytime to make sure that they are not as yellow as the camera appears to be making them. Then again, I could always use the wash again.....
